The CSS Anthology:
101 Essential Tips, Tricks and Hacks
Back to Nick's Reviews
I've never been entirely certain how I feel about books that present a specific problem/solution set. If you're actually having that problem, it's a good thing. If you're problem is different, this approach doesn't help you much if you're not good at extrapolating. But what I eventually realized is that this is as much a teaching tool as a solution set. Tearing apart the code snippets teaches you a lot about CSS, and the tips with a "discussion" section help clarify things quite well. If you're the sort of person who learns on your own, this is definitely the book for you. If you're the sort of person who really prefers having someone to ask questions of, you're in luck! Sitepoint's forums give you just that chance. It's not real-time, but their forums seem to have a lot of knowledgeable people (along with the standard sprinkling of jerks). Sure, you can find most of this stuff out on the Internet, but here it's gathered in one place, well written, and nicely packaged. Highly recommended.
